Bio fuel

Gryfskand started production of bio-pellets 2003 at our factory in Insko due to excess energy in the exothermic production of charcoal. Wood pellets are a type of wood fuel, generally made from compacted sawdust. Pellets are extremely dense and can be manufactured with a low humidity content that allow high combustion efficiency. Further, their regular geometry and small size allow automatic feeding with very fine calibration. As the price of heating with fossil fuels increases, more capacity for pellet heating has been installed. With the surge in the price of fossil fuels, the demand has increased all over Europe and a sizable industry has emerged.

Their high density also permits compact storage and rational transport over long distances. Gryfskand can deliver pellets in 20 kg bags, big bags, and movable tank trucks or after customer?s specifications.
