Activated carbon filters
Compared to our competitors in the USA and China, Gryfskand possesses a huge competitive advantage in terms of both price and environment due to Gryfskand's central location in Europe. Gryfskand can regenerate the granular activated carbon (GAC) and thus reduce the overall impact on the environment.
The economic feasibility of using granular activated carbon (GAC) to eliminate organic contaminants from industrial and municipal wastewater facilities is dependent upon its recycling during multiple adsorption-regeneration cycles. Gryfskand uses the thermal method for the regeneration of GAC which generates a 5-10 percent loss of carbon due to oxidation and attrition. When the filter is contaminated, Gryfskand removes and obtains the GAC and reactivates it at our reactivation plant in Hajnowka. After regeneration we insert virgin carbon to compensate for the loss. This means that the economic and environmental cost is far less than that of our overseas competitors. Taken together with the fact that our production process does not use any fossil fuel, Gryfskand is a very green and competitive alternative.
